How to Use Positive Affirmation for Success and Prosperity

By now, many are familiar with the Law of Attraction as the key to prosperity but have been unable to achieve significant results despite this knowledge. Life coaches and wealth creation experts maintain that thoughts are not enough to attract a desired outcome unless it is supported by positive affirmation.

Positive affirmation is a powerful way of manifesting desire and thoughts and consists of a statement that one sees and verbalizes everyday. It is best understood through its characteristics which serve as guides as well to attaining goals.

Present tense: Belief and affirmation go hand in hand. Stating it in the present tense magnifies a belief which increases the energy behind an affirmation. When a person states an affirmation as happening in the now, he or she begins to generate positive feelings about it which attract similar events.

Achievable: An affirmation is a goal written down and which must be verbalized everyday. Often, a person’s belief system is not aligned with the affirmation, posing obstacles to its realization. In this case, it is necessary to adjust the affirmation to an achievable level for the thinker to believe in its outcome. This is also known as a 1st-step affirmation which is a starting point for beginners whose current state of beliefs is not aligned with their affirmations.

Renewable or adjustable: Affirmations may need to be changed or revised every few days or weeks to reflect the person’s belief or situation. It may also need to be refreshed to renew the belief and energy behind it.

Repetitive: Repetition is a key step in positive affirmation as the mind creates new neuropathways which recognize the affirmation as familiar and real. This boosts the belief that powers affirmation. An affirmation may be written down in a journal, on pieces of paper that are posted on conspicuous places in a person’s usual environment and verbally repeated at various times of the day. Experts recommend writing affirmations down in long hand writing and posting copies of the affirmations on the keyboard, on a bathroom mirror, on the dashboard and on a corkboard in the office.

Visual: In addition to the written affirmation, a vision board is another way of presenting an affirmation in the present. A vision board is a collection of images that represent a person’s ideal lifestyle which must be viewed often, at least twice a day to generate positive feelings about the images. You may also choose to use a ReflectAffirm Card in your Card which will really get a boost on things!

Finally, while visualizing and verbalizing positive affirmation propel most goals, taking action in pursuit of these desired outcomes ultimately produce positive results.
